Additional Notes for training for work in schools

The academic level referred to links to an English system as follows:

• Level 2 is equivalent to GCSE A* to C grades
• Level 3 is equivalent to A Levels, or BTec Advanced etc.
• Level 4 is equivalent to a Certificate of Higher Education
• Level 5 is equivalent to a Diploma in Higher Education
• Level 6 is equivalent to an Honours Degree

There is only one nationally accredited qualification for those who work in schools on behalf of another organisation.  The Edexcel Level 3 BTec Voluntary Work in Educational Settings was created by schoolswork.uk and is managed by CYM as the Enable programme.  Award and Certificate qualifications are ready and they are currently working on the Chaplaincy Diploma.
