Aiming to produce ‘reflective practitioners’ the programme seeks to provide the student with the theological and missiological tools to understand, evaluate and engage in youth ministry and youth work from a faith perspective. In addition Cliff College is the only Bible College within a national park but only fifteen minutes away from Sheffield.
The PhD in Missiology (Level 9) taught programme is designed to facilitate doctoral level reflection on the practice of Christian mission. It is applicable for those engaged in mission through employment in mission organisations, as church ministers (ordained or lay) or for church members who, while not in employment related to mission, have substantial ongoing experience of mission. This professional doctorate is the same academic level as a research PhD, is recognised as such and is primarily designed for practitioners.
The college employs staff who have national and international reputations and academic experience in the field of youth ministry are able to supervise research to PhD level.
