Training for volunteers
Ripon College ~ Foundation Award in Mission & Ministry with Children, Young People & Families
A new course for volunteers or paid workers, looking for an entry level qualification or as a way in to further training in Higher Education. Can be accredited or non-accredited.
The course will focus on either children or young people and be integrated with theological training in the college.
Training is rooted in innovative and missional approaches, developing intergenerational communities and collaborative working as we seek to reimagine mission and ministry with CYPF.
SWYM | The Academy
This course will encourage you to “Step Up” and “Step Out”, building on the discipleship journey in Be Transformed and go deeper into specific topics. During the course, you will sharpen your skills and experience to develop your practice through group work, leadership and managing programmes.
The Key
The Key is a new training resource which has been written and developed by the Youth and Children’s departments from the Diocese of Bath and Wells and the Diocese of Bristol to equip those who work with children and young people.
It is primarily aimed at volunteers in a variety of church settings, however, The Key can also be used as a basic quality assurance tool and team building exercise for existing volunteers or paid workers. Facilitators are encouraged to follow the simple guidelines, however, it is flexible enough to use other resources to enhance the learning experience.
